Method of Detection
In Ikonopedia Method of Detection (MOD) is not enabled by default, but can be enabled and configured with automation. Please submit a ticket with our support team to enable and configure this feature.
When selecting a BI-RADS 4 (4a, 4b, 4c) or 5 from the Diagnostic Mammogram, Ultrasound, and/or MRI reporting pages, the MOD is selected based on information previously gathered in Ikonopedia. If the first encounter with a patient that identified a suspicious finding was a BI-RADS 0 screening mammogram, one of the screening mammogram options (Sma or Sdbt) will automatically be selected. This is also true if the patient or a care provider was noted in the patient questionnaire as finding a concern during a physical examination. The radiologist still has the option to click on the Other Mod button and change the MOD when needed.
A radiologist will still have the option to click on the Other MOD button and change the MOD if needed.
Below is a sample of the configuration sheet.
We have updated mammography and MRI modalities to match resolve/workup functionality found in diagnostic ultrasound. The purpose of the Workup +/- dialog is to quickly resolve or workup imaging concerns from a prior exam.
Note: For mammography, a similar feature has been replaced with the functionality of the version found in Ultrasound. Workup +/- dialog for Mammography
